Course Dates

During the first year the taught element of the programme takes place over ten two day blocks from January to November (Saturday-Sunday) for an in-in depth in room London teaching experience.  Additionally some teaching is scheduled on zoom including a two three-day seminar in psychosexual therapy.

• During the second year the attendance is again over 17 weekends  plus 4 Zoom seminars. The course formally ends formally 24 months after its start. These are total weekends and zoom excluding the 6 day intensive.
• Seminars are scheduled 10.00 to 16.30 hrs, UK time. 
• Clinical work experience, usually within a placement setting, commences 10 months into the first year. Students are required to complete 100 hours of supervised practice, ideally by the time the course completes. In exceptional circumstances, clinical hours may be extended for a further 6 months. Supervision is required for this clinical practice at a ratio of 1 supervision hour per 6 clinical hours. 
• As well as attending all modules students are required to attend peer support meetings monthly, of 2-3 hours duration; students are also expected to undertake self directed learning which includes relevant reading, preparation for essays and case study submission, whilst also keeping a personal journal. Students are also be expected to research a relevant topic as their second year project. The project titles, which extend to 3500 words, will be issued at the start of Year 2. 
• Students will also need to attend at least one individual tutorial each year.
